I’m reading at my favorite time - early morning. I sat in the kitchen with your mom seeing what she saw. I felt nostalgic for those days when I was the lone girl w 3 smelly brothers. My mom

And I had our own relationship; a refuge really. And I felt choked up for the years when I was that mom w my beautiful boy standing on the chair next to me, looking deep into the bowl of peanut butter, eggs, flour... “These cookies smell ready. I don’t think we even need to cook them.” Thank you amie

Your mom was so funny: the human offspring 😂 I love how her personality comes through in her writing.

Wow, Amie this post hit me in the gut. So beautiful and bittersweet. I love getting to know your mom through your writing and now learning more about you through her writing. It will be another Mother’s Day without my mom for me too. I love this post and will be making these cookies this weekend. I will report back with pictures!
