You are so good at bringing people and recipes together. Sounds like a fun project!

What a nice compliment, Vicki! Let the recipes roll in!

Loved this, Amie, especially this: "Send me your favorite recipes—hard, easy, short, long, a link, a clipping, a photo of recipe card, an actual recipe card." What?! What fun! Yes, I'll email you or mail you, whatever you prefer. What a great idea.

Congrats on Cook and Tell's anniversaries, too: big things. And Max's 9th birthday. Woof woof! "Chocolate Chit-Chat" is so your mom, from what I've learned about her from her writings and art, and what you've written about her.

Also, Tab! YESSSSSSS! I was a Tab girl, too, and so skeptical of Diet Coke. I can still taste that metallic note in Tab, and remember the TV and print ads for it. Ahhhh . . . what a time to be a teenager. :-)

Fun idea. Did I miss your snail mail address? I'd love to share my mother's famous "Nancy Cinnamon Rolls". Simply the best ever and the one food memory that will be treasured forever for me.

emailed you the address, which seems like an oxymoron!!

Ohhh …. I loved everything about this edition, Amie. The anniversaries, the gooey marshmallow goodness, but most of all your cookbook idea. What a wonderful way to extend the community you and Karyl have created 💕

I immediately went to my stuffed folder of clippings and there are treasures to behold. Now the hard part…what to share???

Im looking forward to you selection(s)!

I took the grape salad to a church pitch in on Sunday and came home with an empty bowl!

I am not surprised at all!

What a great piece full of fun recipes today. Thank you Amie. I love the name for this recipe: Junk Yard Salad.

How fun! Do you now like Diet Coke. The only soda I ever liked was Dr Pepper and I still hate all coke products. Pepsi too so I am an outlier. The brownie recipe looks quite good.

I’m pretty much done with Diet Coke and have moved on to Coke Zero & an occasional Dr Pepper. Not a big Pepsi fan, even when I worked at a Pepsi bottling plant (shhhh, don’t tell!)

Amie, this is great! What a fun newsletter today! Happy Birthday Max, from Bart. Congratulations on fifty years - it's quite a legacy you are continuing. One of my Nana's friends made a similar grape salad but of course it had whipped cream in it; seems all the summer salads I grew up with had whipped cream and fruit, all very yummy of course. I may even try those excessively sweet sounding brownies! Hmm maybe they need ice cream on them....

Whipped cream, Cool Whip, ice cream—all my favorites, Lynn. And of course, marshmallows!

Happy Anniversary! Anniversaries? Happy, happy! I recently came across the Junk Yard Salad recipe on Reddit, someone posted a picture of the recipe card from a recipe box purchased at an estate sale. I had to try it because it had "GOOD" underlined, written in red ink off to the side. It's become our summer treat here, although I modified it by removing the pineapple and adding a little almond extract. It's especially good frozen.

Was it the Old Recipes subreddit? The penmanship looks like my fourth grade teacher’s😳

That’s the one! I love how distinctive penmanship can be.
