The old recipes always seem so comforting and I like you suggestion about donating especially at this time of the year. I will be donating to our local food bank and to World Central Kitchen, https://donate.wck.org/give/499865/#!/donation/checkout
Another marvel of a newsletter, Amie, with so many great recipes for the holidays! You may call yourself a "fledgling foodie," but almost everything you write about sounds like something I want to make. Right now, the green bean casserole ("No French's Onions Allowed") and the cranberry pumpkin cornbread are calling my name. I also love the idea of donating at this time of year, especially to organizations like World Central Kitchen (https://wck.org) and local food pantries that feed the hungry.
Yes to the classics. My mom made the same thanksgiving dinner every year and we all adored it. I feel like we’re all being assaulted by too many perfect thanksgiving recipes and menus. The context is gone. We are a small group at my house this year and I am thrilled to be dialing it back.
Loved the “I love my kids” note on the Pea Recipe! Come back to Maine, and soon! With love from your Southport neighbor.
Thank you Amie! :)
You just reminded me that I owe you a letter; I’ve got just the recipe in mind to accompany it!
Oh yay! I can't wait Amie. Hope your weekend was fantastic. It was great to see you on Friday. Thank you for joining us.
Thanks, Amie. I need some fresh ideas for sides.
Thanks Amie for all of this goodness! I’m gobsmacked for squashed, but thinking I’ll make a double batch 😉

That sounds like the perfect organization to donate to, Bernadette!

You’re the second reader who mentioned World Food Kitchen. I’m definitely giving it a look.
Beautiful and mouth-watering, Amie. Another delicious read! 😊
Love that splotched recipe sheet!
