I'm a sucker for pickles! Another wonderful read. The recipes alway feel like a delightful bonus, reading your notes and your mother's words are the main attraction
As I read what your mother wrote, it felt like the scene I’ve been experiencing as we’ve been driving through Maine and New Hampshire. Such beautiful, evocative writing from you both! Can’t wait to try those recipes.
Loving your posts and recipes. I had several years worth of your Mom’s monthly newsletters that I cherished. We recently moved after 35 years in our old Dutch colonial and I fear I have lost those precious newsletters in the move. I am devastated. Is there a way of replacing some of them?? I have her book that she signed when she invited me and a friend for tea, but would still love to replace at least some of those newsletters.

I will make the bread this weekend! So yum. I love this newsletter.
PS the print the recipe option is wonderful! I am going to save in a little folder on my computer.
Wonderful as always, Amie.
rugged coffee, mmmmmm
Wonderful newsletter!!! We recently did a road trip to an orchard and a farm... because of homemade pickles!!

One possible Halloween recipe I enjoy is Sarabeth’s pumpkin muffins, which Jolene Handy wrote about a year or so ago in her newsletter. Here’s the link: https://open.substack.com/pub/timetravelkitchen/p/time-travel-kitchen-b23?r=159j4&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Another beautiful post, Amie. Wonderful words - yours and Karyl's, both. 🙌
“Happifying” I love this word!
Such wonderful writing!
So now I have two recipes to try when I settle down from my fall travels. This looks so intriguing!
Absolutely wonderful Amie I am so enjoying the repeat of your mother's newsletters. Also, loved your visit.
Love pumpkins!
