I just read the rest of the story of Bob, and I am so touched. I'm glad you were able to tell him you loved him. I don't think we say it enough to those we love.
My daddy died when I was nine (almost 52 years ago), and I miss him as much today as the day he died.
Bob sounds too much like my husband. He too is Chief of Stuff also known as Specials Shopper. He is ready to go to supermarket at any hour of the day to buy a single item, I might have mentioned, is running low in our pantry. That is his excuse to grab any special he might find while passing through all the aisles of the two heavily stocked supermarkets we have nearby. He is the designated shopper of our household. Every item in our house is bought by him. His expertise in finding the best price is so sought after that all our friends and family members ask for his advice before buying not only high ticket items but daily needs stuff as well. He might as well start charging for his skill 😉
omg a "guy aisle" and yet...why do I think (sometimes) that many a man would still be incapable of finding what they thought they were looking for even IF if was all in the same aisle?
I will do that! Probably won’t do any baking this summer but when the weather cools, this will be at the top of my list. I love bread like this and it looks doable.
Hi Amie, I just read the story about Bob. What a beautiful ending. I was close to tears by the end. I'm so happy you were able to tell him how you felt. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your sweet words, Kryssi. I think our loved ones feel our love and pain wherever they may be.
That so beautiful and heartfelt. Your writing is amazing!
I echo this.
Thank you for reading!

I’d hire him! What a keeper!
Love it (and you).

What a tribute to Bob. And what a great looking bread recipe that I must try.
If you get around to making it, send me a pic, Sharon.

Very touching....and the bread sounds delicious and healthy!
Cheers to Bob for finding that yeast all those years ago!
