Another wonderful story from your remarkable mom, Amie! I enjoy that TJ’s soup too, but I never thought of making it till now. Love the idea of topping it with a shower of white cheddar popcorn!🍜
What a great story! I may try this soup...I wonder if that cheese is available up here. We'll see.
Check in the deli cheese section at Hannaford

Right? I have so much more to go through, who knows what I’ll find!
I love that you found her photograph from a “secondary source” but agreed, we know in our hearts who are ancestors to be.
Also, sign me up for that soup and the white cheddar popcorn topper ~ I stand there’s nothing like potato chips to make soup sing.
Whoa! Have not tried chips. Yet.
lol ~ chips have been in HEAVY rotation since the late 80’s 💛
Am going to try that red pepper soup -- have to shop for the cocoanut milk --
Wonderful story. I also like soup recipes that call for coconut milk.
Its creamy texture helps thicken soup, too!
Charming story. And the soup sounds delicious and comforting!
Fun story and lovely to see a photo of the younger Karyl!

So much in every post, Amie! I identify with having that one knife that is ‘the one’ I’ve had mine for 35 years! Wonderful post.
I had to chuckle at the thought of my mom driving around with her knife.
Yes! 😂
